You will be amazed and your curiosity will be aroused as you watch Betty Bloomerz using the snake like contortion of her mysterious innards to pull a massive 27" sword blade deep into her petite 5'4" body. Bloomerz is a lascivious sword swallowing, fire eating aerialist and contortionist who hails from Philadelphia. She has toned and trained her body using skills of yoga (which she teaches) and combined this with belly dance, acrobatics and circus skills to produce one of the most imaginative and sensual demonstration of outer and inner body control that you will ever see.
Betty says that she "... enjoys sword swallowing in creative and playful ways including swinging and flipping around on the trapeze while swallowing swords and eating fire.”
Her strange and compelling demonstrations include upside-down sword swallowing, bending metal inside her body, sword swallowing while hula-hooping and walking up a ladder of sharp, upturned sword blades while barefoot as well as other sideshow skills.
She has performed around the country and Europe, including two US west coast tours, as well as a tour that took her Amsterdam, Berlin and London.
She has performed with and shared the stage with variety of side show groups including Squidling Bros Sideshow, Electric Acid Theatre, Swing Shift Sideshow, Carnivolution, Cavalcade of the ODD, The Skullduggery and Skin Show; burlesque shows including Lady Circus, The Tickled Fancy Burlesque, Hellcat Girls, as well as many bands and belly-dance troupes. She is featured in several music videos.
She has performed at many venues around the USA and Europe, such as The Palace of Wonders in Washington, DC, The Infamous Double Down Saloon in Las Vegas, Cafe Van Kleef in Oakland, CA, Club Amnesia in San Francisco, Dante's in Portland Oregon, Coney Island Rockabilly Festival, Coney Island Burlesque by the Beach, The Kopi and The Dead Chickens Bar in Berlin, Germany, Pacific Parc in Amsterdam and at events like The Las Vegas Tattoo Convention at The Riviera Casino, The Philadelphia Tattoo Convention, and many others.
